Situational Awareness (SA) - понятие, которое имеет разную смысловую нагрузку для разных людей. Около 15-20 лет назад в DARPA стремились сформулировать приоритеты SA в области электронного картографирования и навигации. Спустя 10 лет к SA добавили уже широко распространнённые на это время высокотехнологичные средства визуального обнаружения. Размеры, масса и высокая стоимость используемых устройств не позволяют двигаться дальше. За последние 10 лет значительного прогресса развития не наблюдается. По большей части используемые устройства являются хоть и цифровыми, но не интегрируемыми между собой. Чтобы преодолеть тупик в развитии задач ситуационной осведомлённости пользователю необходим компактный и лёгкий, но невероятно производительный и многофункциональный компьютер на голове (более производительный, чем большинство офисных ноутбуков), без кабелей на теле, по цене, которую Пентагон готов выделить для каждого военнослужащего.
Situational Awareness (SA) is a concept that has different meanings for different people. About 15-20 years ago, DARPA wanted to prioritize SA in the field of electronic mapping and navigation.
